Does tuberculosis affect other organs as well?

The answer is YES.

TB is caused by bacteria and is passed through droplets carried in the air usually from coughs and sneezes. Pulmonary TB infection generally affects the lungs. However, it also spread to the lymph nodes. It can also affect the bones, joints, spine, brain, and kidneys. The symptoms vary depending on which organ is infected. If the kidney is affected, then you may urinate blood. If it is the neck then you may have swollen glands, pain in the joints, or headaches.
